Featured Fete Fridays - 5/27/2016 Edition

events and entertainingGrace SorianoComment

I missed #FeatFeteFridays last week.... SHAME! Blame it on being insanely busy at work and traveling almost every weekend. I'm exhausted! But today, I bring you an extra long version to make up for it!

Every Friday I round up my favorite blog posts, articles, instagrams, photo shoots etc. that have to do with the events industry/event and party planning.

So let's get started, shall we...

How to Host the Perfect Dinner Party, Bloglovin'

I love dinner parties and I feel like they should become a more common thing nowadays. But regardless, I am so happy to see Bloglovin', aka the hub of all blogs, feature an events post! They rounded up some great blog posts from Bloglovin members that will help you in planning a successful dinner party.

The Ceremony Backdrop? A Staircase Filled With Candles!, Style Me Pretty

There are so many great backdrops out there, but this candle lit staircase featured on Style Me Pretty is amazingly romantic. The combination of stairs, candles, flowers, and flowy curtains truly gives this wedding a definite "WOW" factor.

Guys Night Out on the Patio, Celebrations at Home

I've always had trouble with ideas for "guys" parties, because let's be honest, they'd be happy with just a keg of beer and some pizza. But I'm glad to see that there are some ideas out there like this "Guys Night Out on the Patio" feature on Celebrations at Home. Now that it's starting to finally get sunny, I wanna throw an outdoor party just like this one!

We Absolutely Love This Colorful Feminist Wedding, A Practical Wedding

I don't think I have ever seen such unique decorations at a wedding than this colorful wedding featured on A Practical Wedding. How super creative and colorful! The great thing about this is I feel like it could be easily executed on a lower budget. Bravo!

Raucous Brunch Party La Boum is Relocating, DC Eater

This one's for my local peeps - but the infamous DC brunch party known as La Boum is moving according to DC Eater. The brunch party, originally located at L'Enfant Cafe, has become well known to DC brunchers as the craziest and booziest brunch in DC. I can attest, we went last year and it was definitely not for the classic bruncher. They will now be located at the night club Capitale. While I'm glad they are going to have more space and new amenities, I'll miss the fact that L'Enfant Cafe seemed like your quaint little brunch spot until they got the party started. I'll definitely have to check out the new location soon!

Flights and Bites, Evoke DC

I love Evoke DC and wish they posted more because they have the prettiest spreads! I was floored when I saw this topiary inspired look by Jeanette Tavares. It definitely gives off an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party feel to me. So classy, yet whimsical!

That's all I've got for today. Hope everyone enjoys the nice long Memorial Day Weekend! :)
