Oops, I'm a bit behind on posts that I planned! As I mentioned in my last post, the other week was my birthday: the BIG 26! I love birthdays and all sorts of celebrations for that matter, so normally I'm all about getting together with friends for the occasion. Last year we did a joint party at a burlesque bar, Sax, and the year before that we had a weekend trip to Annapolis! With that in mind, this year I decided I wanted to do something different.
After going through open heart surgery last August, I realized I am really really fortunate to have such a wonderful life. With this in mind, I wanted to kick off my next year of living by giving back. I decided for my birthday this year I would host a fundraiser to raise money for Save the Children, a non-profit that provides support to children in need.
Enter my Champagne and Cupcakes party! I rented out Sprinkles Cupcakes in Georgetown, put together a champagne bar, some catering, a selfie station, and had blast! Through online donations and ticket purchases, I successfully raised over $1200!!
Unfortunately, since I didn't have a ton of time to prepare (Sprinkles only lets you come in an hour before the start of your event), I was so busy setting up and chatting up guests that I didn't take any pictures! My bad! But here are some of the designs I used throughout the party.
I loved the Champagne and Cupcakes theme and I really think it can go for anything - from Bachelorette Parties, Baby Showers, Birthdays, and everything in between! If you're planning on hosting a Champagne and Cupcakes party and need some graphics for your invitations, Facebook page, etc., then click the image below to download my art for FREE! The download include the .AI and .EPS files. Credit would definitely be appreciated!
If you're interested in donating to the cause, you can do so on my Save the Children Page here!
